CLAN for AI Research on Language and Networks, or CLAN for short, is a research group and a part of the larger DIS Group in the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University in Denmark.
Our über-level vision is to design the next generation of information systems that understand human knowledge-seeking needs and assist them in navigating online knowledge. To achive this, our research lies broadly in human-centered AI with a focus on modeling and enhancing human knowledge-seeking, bridging knowledge gaps, and promoting knowledge equity on the Web. Specifically, our work devises models and algorithms in the follwoing areas:
- natural language processing
- graph machine learning
- computational social science
- data and network science
- artificial intelligence
Our work is partly funded by grants from the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Pioneer Centre for AI.
